The United states on Thursday condemned what it called excessive use of force by the Nigerian military for firing on unarmed #EndSARS protesters.

Amnesty international says at least 12 people were killed by some men in military uniform and police in a brutal crackdown on protesters Tuesday that drew international condemnation.

“We welcome an immediate investigation into any use of excessive force by members of the security forces,” secretary of state Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

Pompeo said that those involved “should be held to account in accordance with Nigerian law.”

However, Nigeria’s army has dubbed as “fake news” reports that soldiers opened fire on demonstrators at the Lekki toll gate.

National Boundary Commission Poised to Resolve Issues with Ghana, Guinea, Others

The National boundary commission (NBC) says it is poised to resolve the country’s maritime boundary issues with Ghana, Equatorial guinea, and Sao tome and Principe, to enhance good neighborliness at the maritime level.

Dr Richard Oji, director of internal boundary in the NBC, made this known in an interview with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.

Oji said the commission had been doing a lot both internally and internationally on boundary issues.

He stressed that the commission, under its director-general, Adamu Adaji and with support from the presidency, would record remarkable achievements on the issues very soon

Donald trump has said he will leave the white house if the electoral college certifies Joe Biden as the winner of the November 3 presidential election.

This is the closest the outgoing United States President has come to conceding the contest.

However, Trump has insisted that ‘the race is far from over”.

Democrat Joe Biden leads trump 306 votes to 232 under the electoral college system.

Biden also leads the popular vote by more than six million.

Members of the U.S electoral college will meet to formalize the result on 14 December, with Joe Biden due to be sworn in as President on 20 January.
