Even though African cultures are widely diverse, they also have many similarities like their respect and love for their culture. However they have a great deal of respect for their kings, chiefs and elderly.

The government of most African nations encourage national dance and music groups, writers and artists.
Africa is divided into a great number of ethnic cultures. However the continent’s cultural regeneration has been an integral aspect of post-independence nation building on the continent.
African culture have always placed emphasis on personal appearance and jewellery and has remained an important personal accessory.

The diversity of African culture has received more attention worldwide in recent years.
However many young and old Africans are carving their names into the books of history via their works.
From fashion, music and dance, writing, design, and movie making, these varied generations are exhibiting the diversity of African culture and creativity.
In recent years, the fashion industry in Africa has witness tremendous growth.
The global demand and discussion of African inspired fashion has led to incredible sales for some African designers and brands.
Africa is home of musical talents, therefore, there’s always a fresh wave of new artists bursting into the limelight and capture our attention with their amazing gifts.
The traditional music of Africa is ancient, rich and diverse, with different regions and nations of Africa having many distinct musical traditions.

FG Demands Return of Nigeria’s Artefacts from Foreign Countries
President Mohammadu Buhari has called on Nations, institutions private and public bodies to return Nigeria’s artefacts in their possession
This is coming after the return of two Nigerian artefacts from Britain.
In a statement signed by the Presidents spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari welcomed the official handover, on Saturday, of the Okwukor and the Head of an Oba of Benin bronzes, to the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Oba Ewuare II.
The artefacts were repatriated from the University of Cambridge and University of Aberdeen, respectively, in the United Kingdom, after 125 years of their leaving the territory of present-day Nigeria.
Buhari Urged other countries to take a cue from the institutions, and vowed that the Federal Government would pursue the repatriation of Nigerian artefacts vigorously.

Ogun stolen mace recovered
Ogun State House of Assembly Mace have been recovered
The police operatives attached to Trade Fair Station of the Lagos State Police Command has recovered the missing mace of the Ogun State House of Assembly at Abule Ado Area of the state this Friday.
The police operatives, who received intelligence from members of the community that someone in a moving vehicle, suspected to be Toyota Sienna Space Wagon, threw out an object into the nearby bush quickly moved in and recovered the object which was later identified as the Ogun State House of Assembly Mace.
The mace was allegedly stolen from the House of Assembly compex , Ogun State recently.
In a statement,police public relations officer, lagos state command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi explained that the mace has been handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State,Hakeem Odumosu, who instructed the DCP State CID,to protect it and liaise with the Ogun State Police Command to return the mace to the state.
