Wande Coal’s EP “Realms” was Definitely Worth the Wait!

The weekend is about to get lit with Wande Coal‘s much awaited extended play “Realms“. It’s a total vibe.

The 7-track ep uniquely fuses tropical melodies with R&B and pop.

“Realms” is Wande Coal’s first project since his 2015 hit album “Wanted“. The ep holds a feature from Grammy nominated rapper wale, on the remix of Wande coal’s smash hit “Again“. It also includes recent hits from the Afrobeat star like “ode lo like” and “Naughty girl”.

The EP was executively produced by joseph “Screwface” Charles, and was worked on by exceptional producers like Screwface, Pheelz, Sarz, Dapiano, Melvitto, Lekka beats and Sharpshutaz. All songs were written by Wande Coal and mixed by Trehy Harris.

Disney announces production details for Lagos themed animated series ‘Iwájú’

Walt Disney animation studios has announced details on ‘Iwájú’ Series, it’s first of its kind collaboration with African comic book entertainment company, Kugali.

Disney, in a statement released at the on-going Annecy international animation film festival, confirmed that production has commenced with talents working remotely from Nigeria, Uganda, London, Montreal and Burbank.

Although details of the series remain under wraps, Kugali co-founder and series director Ziki nelson revealed that ‘Iwájú’ would share themes of inequality and class divide. “that’s the everyday reality of life in Nigeria and other parts of the world, and [themes include] the consequences they have on a society and challenging the status quo.”

Set in futuristic Lagos, Kugali co-founder, Tolu Olowofoyeku noted the team’s choice of the commercial city, highlighting how its “unique and distinct feel” provided an interesting base for the story.

T-Pain Says He Went into Depression After Usher Told Him He Ruined Music with Auto Tune

American singer and rapper, Faheem Rasheed Najm also known as T-Pain, has revealed how Usher made him sink into depression.

T-Pain says Usher summoned him some years back just to casually let him know he had ruined the music business by popularizing autotune.

According to T-pain, Usher believed T-pain had tainted professional singing for other artists like Usher, who use their natural voice, and he supposedly said it with a straight face.

The rapper says he was shocked and only realized later that he had fallen into depression, which he says lasted 4 years, something he seems to be attributing to the Usher moment itself.

The 35 year old rapper became known for popularising Auto-Tune in music, using the pitch correction technique on smash hits like Low with Flo-Rida and Good Life with Kanye West.

Chris Brown Under Investigation Over Alleged Assault on Woman

American singer Chris Brown is reportedly being investigated by police over an allegation of battery following a woman’s claims that he hit her at his home over the weekend.

It is claimed that the US musician, aged 32, smacked the back of her head so hard that it made part of her weave come off.

It was reported that police were called to Brown’s home in San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, California. It’s said the alleged victim, who told officers she had been “slapped”, had no injuries.

Although no arrests were made, Brown could face a misdemeanor charge.

According to the report, this is the second time police have been called to Brown’s house. The first was in May when the Los Angeles Police Department was called to Brown’s home in response to multiple complaints about a disruptive late-night birthday party being held at the property.
