Actress Georgina Onuoha Wants Fans to be Careful Who They Idolize

Nollywood actress, Georgina Onuoha has urged her fans to be wary of celebrities that they praise as role models and admire as their idols.

The US-based veteran actress stated that fans should not be resentful of celebrities because their lifestyles are not as glamorous as they describe on social media.
Onuoha made this known on her Instagram page on Friday, September 24.

She added “So before you go about beating yourself up and discrediting your hard work because one celebrity bought this, bought that, and you want the same, think twice. Can you do what they do to live the kind of life they live and display on social media?”

She further mentioned Be thankful for your little blessings. Never compare yourself to anyone. Trust in yourself and your ability to earn a decent livelihood. For those quick to tap into other people’s anointing, please be careful and be cautious of what you are tapping into.

“God bless the work of our hands. To those grinding 8-5 or 12 hours daily, God bless your labour of love. There is dignity in hard labour. Stop envying packaged lives you see on social media. Our society indeed has lost its moral compass.

Britney Spears Seeks End to Guardianship in Order to Marry

Britney Spears has asked a judge to end her father’s guardianship at a hearing next week so that she can get married with a prenuptial agreement, a petition filed by her lawyer said Wednesday.

The U.S pop singer, who has described the controversial 13-year arrangement that gives Jamie Spears control of her affairs as “abuse,” recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Sam Asghari.

Jamie Spears filed a petition last month for Britney’s conservatorship to be ended, saying he acknowledges the singer now and “believes that she can handle her own life.”

According to the filing Wednesday, Britney is “in the process of engaging a family law attorney to craft a prenuptial agreement,” which would require the approval of any conservator still in place.

It proposes a short-term, temporary guardian who can take over from her father and potentially approve a prenuptial agreement before the entire conservatorship structure can be ended later this year.

We can’t tell you it was an easy ride. Many times, we have wondered what more we could do and be with our music, for us, and for you, our fans. Many times we’ve been sidelined, burned, underrepresented, been in this awkward zone of uncertainty, and many times we have been put to the test and stretched to our limits.

We are grateful for ALL of it. We’ve seen so many come from behind us and overtake, and we’ve been more than delighted to give our love to them because we believe that everyone deserves their time. You our fans have been so beautiful and supportive of our music. Thank you. We love you.

NOW, it’s time for us to truly SHINE and not just glow! For all our value, and for all that you have been and given to us. And so we are happy to FINALLY announce to you, that we have gotten two WELL-DESERVED AFRIMA NOMINATIONS for our song BEAT TIME!!!!”.
