Turkish Court Sentences Kurdish Former Member of Parliament to Jail

A Turkish court has sentenced Kurdish former lawmaker, Leyla Guven to more than 22 years in jail on terror-related charges.
Leyla Guven, who was stripped of her parliamentary immunity in June, was convicted of membership of a “terror group” and disseminating “terror propaganda” for outlawed Kurdish armed groups.

On Monday, Guven was given 14 years and three months in jail on a charge of membership of a “terrorist organization” and an additional eight years for two separate charges of disseminating “terrorist propaganda”.
Guven was not present at the court hearing in the predominantly Kurdish southeastern city of Diyarbakir, and her whereabouts were not immediately clear.
The court however, ordered Guven’s immediate arrest.

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden will issue a slew of executive orders in his first hours in office, in both substantive and symbolic measures to reverse policies instituted during the Trump administration, U.S. media outlets reported.

Rejoining the Paris climate accord, reversing the ban on immigration from several Muslim-majority countries, and issuing a mandate on wearing masks while engaging in inter-state travel are among the top priorities.
According to a memo from incoming chief of staff Ronald Klain cited by The New York Times, CNN and other outlets, Biden will also try to speed up the reunification of families, after children were separated from parents at the U.S. border with Mexico.

As a result, the Tennessee law firm is giving away free divorce service to one lucky client who thinks it’s time to cut the rope.
It is reported that because of the high cost of divorce a lot of people stay married. Divorce is really expensive costing around $1,500, which is too much for some people.
According to the firm, only Tennessee residents are eligible. those interested are to email their stories with an explanation of why they want a divorce on or before February 15 and the winner will be selected on February 19.The firm says Divorce must be agreed upon by both partners or no child custody issues.

Uganda electoral officials declares leader Yoweri Museveni election winner

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has been re-elected, electral officials anounced amid vote rigging allegation by rival Bobi Wine.
According to Uganda’s Electoral Commission the leader won with almost 59% of the vote and Bobi Wine got 35% vote.
Bobi Wine who was a pop star, vowed to provide evidence of fraud once the internet is restored.
The Uganda’s Electoral Commission denies there was vote-rigging in Thursday’s election.
The Government have been criticised for shuting down internet access in the region.
Earlier a video went viral of rival Bobi Wine House under siege by the military preventing him and the press team access to the building.
