LOVE FM Radio Station On Fire

A radio station LOVE FM located at Mpape, in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory has been destroyed by fire.
It is reported that men of the FCT Fire service arrived some hours after the incident but could not put out the fire which have deluge the building.

Eye Witness said, the fire started around 7:30pm and all the station furniture and equipment was destroyed by the fire.
Has investigation follow this tragedy, the cause of the fire is yet unknown.

Nigeria to resume fuel imports from Niger Republic

The biggest oil-producing nation in Africa is said to start importing oil from its neighbor the Niger Republic.
In a statement in Abuja, the Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Garba Deen Muhammad, said the MoU was reached following bilateral agreements between President Muhammadu Buhari and President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger.
Niger Republic is said to have Soraz Refinery which has the capacity to refine 20,000 barrels per day and can supply Nigeria that requires just 5000 barrels per day leaving them with about 15,000 barrels per day.
Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, signed the MoU for Nigeria while Alio Toune, Director-General of Niger Republic’s National Oil Company, Societe Nigerienne De Petrole, signed for he’s of his country.
He said, “This is a major step forward. Niger Republic has some excess products which needs to be evacuated. Nigeria has the market for these products. Therefore, this is going to be a win-win relation for both countries. My hope is that this is going to be the beginning of deepening trade relations between Niger Republic and Nigeria.”
Also commenting on the development, the Secretary General of African Petroleum Producers Organisation, Dr. Omar Ibrahim, said he could not be happier with what he witnessed in terms of co-operation and collaboration between the two APPO member countries in the area of hydrocarbons.
He said, “I want to commend the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Niger and their leadership for this milestone.”

Structure Still Standing After Video Raising Alarm Over Demolition Goes Viral
After a video alleging demolition of a structure in Abuja went viral on social media, NCBN can confirm that the building is still standing with normal business activities going on.
The viral video had raised alarm that government officials came without a notice to demolish the building while occupants were still inside.
Although non of the occupants will speak to NCBN crew, it was gatherd that part of the structure was approved for a parking lot and not for the purpose it was used.
Evident by the marks on the building, the FCT Department of Development Control, had in September asked owner of the building to revert to parking lot.
However what remains unclear is why the bulldozer was at the scene on Monday, 16th November.
