Actress, Dame Diana Rigg Dies at 82

Actress Dame Diana Rigg, famous for roles including Emma Peel in TV series the avengers and Olenna Tyrell in game of thrones, has died at the age of 82.

Her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, said she died of cancer, after being diagnosed in March.

Rigg’s daughter, the actress Rachael Stirling, said her mother had “spent her last month’s joyfully reflecting on her extraordinary life, full of love, laughter and a deep pride in her profession”.

Her Agent Simon Beresford, in a statement said that she had died “peacefully” early on Thursday morning at home with her family, who had asked for privacy.

“Dame Diana was a much loved and admired member of her profession, a force of nature who loved her work and her fellow actors.

“She will be greatly missed,’’ he added.

Dame Diana also played the only woman who became Mrs James Bond.

Nigerian Veteran actor Clem Ohameze has recounted how he was attacked and robbed by hoodlums a few days ago.

In a recent interview with BBC Igbo the movie star narrated how he was recently attacked in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

Ohameze said he initially thought the hoodlums were members of the #EndSars protest but got unlucky after introducing himself as he was stripped of his cash and valuables.

Clem Ohameze was attacked by the hoodlums while on his way to a movie set at Uyo in Akwa Ibom State on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Kunle Afolayan hints on making a film based on Lekki shooting

Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has revealed that a script based on the October 20 Lekki shooting of #EndSARS Protesters by men in Military Uniforms is being developed.

Kunle Afolayan shared the news via his official twitter handle in response to a fan who sought to know if there will be a sequel to his 2014 thriller, ‘October 1’ and if it’s sequel will be based on the shocking event of Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

He replied, “It is a must told story. Script development in progress”.
