14 Boko Haram terrorists Killed as 21 Captives Rescued [Report]

Our gallant troops with unbiased loyalty and truth-to-code soldiers today disclosed that 14 Boko Haram Terrorists Killed and 21 Captives Rescued

Today the Nigerian Troops disclosed that 14 Boko Haram Terrorist Killed and rescued 21 captives following an operation in Amdaga Madachi Village in Gowza Local Government Area of Borno State.

NPBS earlier reported of abductions made by Boko Haram along Maiduguri yesterday. In retalliation to that, Our Gallant troops killed 14 members of Boko haram and rescued captives.

According to Texas Chukwu, a Brigadier-General and Director of Army Public Relations who made the announcement, the troops engaged and subdued the terrorists with “their aggressive posture, tactics and marksmanship”.

“Troops of 192 Battalion of 26 Task Force Brigade of Operation LAFIYA DOLE in conjuction with Civilian Joint Task Force neutralised 14 Boko Haram terrorists in a village suspected to harbour terrorists that ambushed a civilian vehicle in Pulka on Wednesday 5th September 2018,” he said.

“The troops attained the feat on Thursday 6th September 2018 during an early hours clearance operation to Amdaga Madachi village in Gwoza Local Governmnent Area in Borno State suspected to habour the terrorists.”

He said the troops neutralised 14 Boko Haram terrorists and rescued 21 civilians comprising six women, 11 children and four men who were being attended to at the military hospital.

“The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division Brigadier General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu, through the Commander of 26 Task Force Brigade Brigadier General Dahiru, has commended the troops for their gallantry, urging them to maintain the momentum by taking out all Boko Haram Terrorists within the Division Area of Responsibility,” he added.

Osinbajo Visits Kaduna, Commiserates with Victims of Train Attack

Vice president Prof Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday visited Kaduna to sympathize with victims of the attack on Kaduna-Abuja train that occurred on Monday.

Osinbajo when answering questions from newsmen condemned the attack and described the act as evil, adding that such behaviour was sheer manifestation of cowardice. extended his condolence to the families of passengers that lost their lives

The Vice President said such happenings reinforced the need to provide security and surveillance on rail tracks, adding that government had been doing its best.

He promised that rail service would be restored soonest, just as he assured that adequate safety measures will be put in place to avert recurrence of such incident.

EFCC Arrests Another FBI-Wanted Nigerian

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Emmanuel Chidiebere, a suspect wanted in the United States of America by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for conspiracy, wire fraud, and money laundering.

EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren disclosed this in a statement, on Tuesday in Abuja, that suspect was arrested in his hideout in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State after receiving intelligence reports gathered by a team of operatives, while other three of his accomplices are still at large.

Chidiebere is alleged to have defrauded some victims in America, Cote D’Ivoire and Poland of some undisclosed amount of money and went underground.

Kaduna State Declares 24-hour Curfew in Two LGAs Over Attacks

The Kaduna State Government has declared a 24-hour curfew in Jema’a and Kaura local government areas of the State with immediate effect.

The Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, made the disclosure on Monday.

According to Aruwan, the curfew was to assist the security agencies stabilize the situation, and restore law and order.

The kaduna state government while appealing to residents to cooperate with the security agencies, condemned the violence and all acts of lawlessness that occurred in the area.
