The development was contained in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs, Chikezie Nwankwo, following Behora’s working visit to Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company in Nnewi, Anambra State, in the company of the delegation from the Office of the National Public Relations Officer (NPRO), as well as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of With the Starz, Femi Amorin.
Behora, who was received by the Chairman of Innoson Group, Innocent Chukwuma, described the visit as an opportunity to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Customs Service and the indigenous automobile manufacturer, and also commended Chukwuma’s contributions to Nigeria’s industrial growth and the company’s achievement of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.
“We recognise the important role indigenous manufacturers play in building our economy. Strengthening our relationship with Innoson will provide further opportunities for collaboration, support local production and advance economic development, particularly in the South-East.” DC Behora said.
During the visit, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I Okpanachi Adejoh from Public Relations Unit Headquarters presented the forthcoming Officers’ Night Out 2026 and sought the company’s continued sponsorship.
Responding, Chief Chukwuma described the NCS as a longstanding source of support throughout his more than 40 years in business, stressing the importance of empowering local industries.

I appreciate the relationship we have built with the Customs Service and will support the forthcoming Officers’ Night Out. The details of the sponsorship can be worked out through formal engagement.” Chief Chukwuma said.
