The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on Thursday, 7, 2024, made a stop-over at the construction site of Customs Cantonment in Mando Kaduna to ascertain the project’s progress.<\/p>\n

Speaking to newsmen shortly after inspecting the site, the CGC described the magnificent project as a means to establish a solid and efficient infrastructure to drive the activities of the Service.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am here this afternoon to inspect the progress of this vital project, the construction of the Customs Cantonment in Mando, Kaduna. This initiative underscores our commitment to establishing a robust and efficient infrastructure to support the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to him, the ongoing construction of the Federal Operations Unit Zone \u2018B\u2019 is essential for enhancing the operational efficiency of Customs personnel and ensuring their welfare adding \u201cit will provide them with modern facilities and amenities to carry out their duties effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CGC, who described the completion of this project as a priority for the Service, also emphasized that \u201cthe structure will serve as a cornerstone of our operations in this region, further strengthening our capacity to safeguard our borders and combat illicit activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI commend the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in this project. Your efforts are instrumental in realizing our vision of a modern and efficient Customs Service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
