President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Doyin Salami as his Chief Economic Adviser. This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina. Salami, until his appointment as Chairman of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC).<\/p>\n
His appointment makes it the first in this capacity in the Buhari led which has otherwise only utilized advisory teams and a special adviser on the economy, Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu, who was deployed to the office of the Vice President in 2016.<\/p>\n
