Williams Uchemba stated that any movement without leadership will eventually fizzle out and die.
Uchemba maintained that the need for leadership is to ensure that there is focus, strategy, negotiations, execution and evaluation.
In his words;
“Anything without leadership will die and fizzle out. It might have began organically but it needs leadership for focus, strategy, negotiations, execution and evaluation.
If we get carried away with our emotions and not put a proper leadership structure in place, this movement will be hijacked and when that happens, we have no only failed our generation but might not be given a golden opportunity such as this, to change our nation for good anytime soon.”
Williams went on to write an open letter to the government. His letter reads
Dear Nigerian Government,
I know you’ve been wondering the people championing this protest, I know you’ve been asking yourselves why the protest is still going on after agreeing to do everything the Nigerian youth have asked, I know you been asking and investigating who the leader of this protest is and how you can stop this new movement that has been on for days now. Well in case you don’t know this protest is no longer about ending police brutality ( as that is just one out of a lot to address), this is about the pain and frustration the Nigerian citizens have been going through for years, this is about the over 40 million people who after four or five years of schooling can’t find a job, this is about people that their loved ones died in the hospital over a very little issue because of the poor health care system, this is about people that after working for years can’t even have access to their pension money, this is about new business and entrepreneurs the Nigerian government have Frustrated because of all the unnecessary charges on a baby business thereby shutting the business down, this is about years and years of living in darkness when every year we hear about the billions and billions of naira that is put into the electricity system in this country, I could go on and on to tell you why this protest is happening, I can tell you for free that the people have had enough and have woken up in Unity with one voice and you can’t break that because POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE. #restructureNigeria #giveusbasicamenities”.

Amazon Completes Hollywood Studio, MGM Acquisition

Author: Gift Wada, Abuja
Amazon has closed its acquisition of MGM, officially bringing the film and TV studio into its fold.
Amazon announced that it has acquired Hollywood movie and television studio Metro Goldwyn Mayer, MGM for $8.5 million. The purchase happened after Amazon certified to the Federal Trade Commission that it had provided all the information requested by the “antitrust investigators” reviewing the deal.
MGM is the studio responsible for hit movies such as Rocky and James Bond but hasn’t won a Grammy for best picture since 1991.
According to Reuters, Amazon made a statement saying that it would welcome all MGM employees to the company and work with the studio’s leadership, indicating there would not be layoffs.
Forbes Magazine reports that MGM shareholders have lobbied Amazon to treat MGM like a stand-alone label under the Amazon umbrella as MGM film division since last year has been making moves to improve their moribund movie studio by buying the rights of movies from high profile movie makers.

On its plans for MGM, Amazon has said very little, only stating that they purchased the company because of its library, and also in order to be able to remake its old titles as TV shows and movies.
This purchase by Amazon means that Amazon would be investing more into the movie production industry and into Hollywood and regardless of what strategies the company employs, this is a decision that would greatly affect the valuation of Amazon.
It already owns Amazon studios, which is arguably the biggest movie streaming site after Netflix and a studio purchase means that we would see more of Amazon in Hollywood productions.
