The Ogun II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Wednesday, 17 September, decorated 25 newly promoted officers, urging them to see their elevation as a call to greater responsibility.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Area Controller of Ogun II Command, Comptroller Olushola Akingbade, commended the officers for their commitment and hard work, which she said earned them recognition during the Service’s recent nationwide promotion exercise.
She charged the officers to demonstrate renewed dedication to their duties, stressing that discipline, diligence, and proactivity remain key to excelling in their roles.
“This promotion should not be seen merely as a reward but as a reminder that more is expected of you. I encourage you to live up to the trust the Service has placed in you,” Comptroller Akingbade stated.
The nationwide exercise, approved by the Nigeria Customs Service’s Management and Board, elevated officers across various ranks and commands, including the Ogun II Area Command.
The brief was filled with a celebratory atmosphere as the newly promoted officers were decorated in the presence of colleagues, family, and friends. Guests shared goodwill messages, while the officers marked the milestone with photographs and expressions of gratitude.
