The Customs Area Controller of the Katsina Area Command, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris, has led a marathon exercise involving officers from the Nigeria Customs Service, the military, police, and other paramilitary institutions.
According to a Press Release issued by the Command’s Acting Public Relations Officer, ASC Bello Isah, the 3-kilometer route walk, themed “Work-Life Balance,” which was held on Wednesday, 11 December 2024, aimed to improve the physical and mental fitness of officers.
The exercise commenced from the Katsina Customs Headquarters to the Nigerian Army 17 Brigade old building, back to the Command’s premises.
Speaking shortly after the route walk, the CAC stressed that the jogging exercise is geared towards keeping officers physically and mentally fit to be able to handle their responsibilities effectively and send a signal to the public that NCS and other Sister Agencies are one. “We did this to keep ourselves fit and, at the same time, further cement the already existing synergy amongst the security agencies in the state.”
He charged officers to continue to engage in extracurricular activities like jogging, hiking, and dancing. He also urged them to embrace the work-life balance initiative as it will improve their health and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the service.
