Comptroller Kadiri Assumes Leadership of Plateau/Benue/Nasarawa Customs Command

Comptroller Omata Kadiri has officially assumed office as the new Customs Area Controller of the Plateau/Benue/Nasarawa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), pledging to strengthen service delivery, promote professionalism, and consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.

He took over leadership of the Command from the outgoing CAC, Comptroller Garba Bashir, during a handover ceremony held at the Customs House, Dogon Karfe, Jos, attended by officers and men of the Command.

Speaking on behalf of the outgoing CAC, the Acting Deputy Comptroller of Administration, Assistant Comptroller of Customs (AC) Yakubu Mohammed, congratulated the incoming Area Controller and expressed appreciation to officers and personnel of the Command for their dedication and commitment during Bashir’s tenure.

AC Mohammed urged officers and men of the Command to extend the same level of loyalty, cooperation and support to the new CAC to ensure continuity in the Command’s operations and objectives.

In his remarks, Comptroller Kadiri expressed gratitude to God, the Comptroller-General of Customs and his management team for the confidence reposed on him and pledged to consolidate on the gains recorded under the previous administration. He assured officers and stakeholders of his commitment to promoting quality service delivery, professionalism and peaceful coexistence within the Command.

The new CAC also called on officers and men to uphold the highest standards of discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, stressing that teamwork and commitment would be essential in advancing the Command’s mandate and achieving greater results. ” With teamwork, we will together achieve the service mandate” Omata stated.
