The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kwara Area Command, on Tuesday, 28 April 2026, received the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abbas Mohammed, and the State Coordinator of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Oyewopo Abdulrazaq, during separate engagements aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration.

The Acting Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Najeem Ogundeyi, hosted the delegations at the Command headquarters, where discussions centred on enhancing synergy, fostering mutual understanding and exploring new areas of cooperation to support the effective implementation of government policies.

Speaking during the engagements, Deputy Comptroller Ogundeyi emphasised that no agency can operate effectively in isolation, noting that collaboration remains essential for efficient service delivery and national development.

“Inter-agency collaboration remains fundamental to achieving our mandates. We must continue to strengthen synergy, share intelligence, and support one another to ensure effective service delivery and the successful implementation of government policies for national development,” he said.

In their separate remarks, Commandant Mohammed described the visit as “a step towards deeper cooperation,” while Abdulrazaq noted that “sustained collaboration will enhance regulatory effectiveness.”
