The men’s 4×100 metres relay team of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) delivered a commanding performance to secure gold at the invitational security agencies’ relay event during the 15th Police Games held in Asaba.

Competing at the Asaba Township Stadium on Saturday, 21 February 2026, the Customs quartet, captained by veteran former international Isah Salihu, surged ahead of rival teams to finish decisively in first place, underlining their dominance among the nation’s security formations.
Salihu anchored a disciplined squad comprising Igube ThankGod, Ndiponke Okure and Chidera Ezeakor, whose seamless baton exchanges and explosive pace proved unassailable on the track.
The victory marks a successful title defence for the Customs side, which also clinched gold in the same event at the previous edition of the games, confirming their status as the team to beat in inter-agency sprint relays.
The Commander TRADOC, Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Suleiman Chioma, praised the athletes’ feat, stating: “This victory reflects the discipline, resilience and team spirit that define the Nigeria Customs Service. Our investment in sports development continues to yield results, and we are proud of these officers for projecting the Service’s excellence on a national stage. Their achievement will inspire others to strive for both professional and physical excellence.”
The Police Games, hosted this year by Delta State, brought together athletes from multiple uniform services across the country, serving as a platform for competition, camaraderie and national sporting excellence.
