The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt II Area Command, Onne, has set a new record with a remarkable revenue collection of ₦76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025, the highest monthly revenue ever recorded in the Command’s history.
According to a press release issued and signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Theophilus Duniya, on 4 November 2025, the outstanding performance reflects the impact of decisive leadership and collaborative engagement under the watch of Comptroller Aliyu Alkali.
The statement attributed the Command’s success to deliberate and consistent stakeholder engagement spearheaded by Comptroller Alkali, who prioritised dialogue with port stakeholders, importers, licensed agents, and unit heads. These engagements, it added, emphasised the importance of facilitating legitimate trade, ensuring compliance, and adding value to operations initiatives that significantly enhanced the Command’s revenue performance.
The release further noted that the Customs Area Controller strategically deployed officers to operational beats based on needs, thereby ensuring optimal resource allocation, improved productivity, and enhanced efficiency across the Command.
Comptroller Alkali, in the statement, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, importers, and officers of the Command for their patriotism and cooperation, describing the achievement as a product of unity and shared commitment.
“This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve through effective teamwork and dedication to national development. We shall continue to strengthen our system to sustain this momentum,” Comptroller Alkali stated.
