ACG Binga Meets Emir of Bauchi to Strengthen Collaboration for Effective Operations

The Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘D’ Bauchi, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Musa Binga, has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness Dr Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, on Wednesday, 15 October 2025.

The visit aimed to seek royal blessings and strengthen collaboration to enhance the effectiveness of the Zone’s operations.

ACG Binga stated, “The purpose of our visit is to pay our respects to His Royal Highness and to reaffirm the longstanding synergy between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Bauchi Emirate.”

He described the Emir as a revered and influential leader whose guidance promotes harmony and mutual respect between government institutions and the communities they serve.

“I sincerely appreciate his royal blessings and the warm hospitality extended to us,” the ACG added.

In his remarks, the Emir commended the Zonal Coordinator and his team for the visit and assured them of the emirate’s full support and cooperation in maintaining peace and ensuring the smooth operation of Customs activities within the Zone.

The Emir also urged the Zonal Coordinator to prioritise the security of land borders within the Zone, noting that despite prevailing border security challenges in the country, safeguarding the nation’s frontiers against the illegal trade in arms, ammunition, narcotics, and prohibited goods remains crucial.

The Emir stated, “I appeal to the Zonal Coordinator to prioritise the security of our land borders. Despite the challenges facing the nation, it is essential to ensure that our borders remain well protected against the smuggling of arms, ammunition, narcotics, and other prohibited goods.”
