Compt. Kanu Urges Diligence as Edo/Delta Command Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

The Customs Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Edo/Delta Command, Comptroller Judith Kanu, on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, decorated newly promoted officers of the Command.

During the colourful ceremony held at the Command’s conference hall, Comptroller Kanu emphasised that the occasion was not merely a formality but a celebration of hard work, dedication, and loyalty to the Service.
“Promotion in the Nigeria Customs Service is not a gift, but a recognition of excellence, discipline, and commitment to duty,” she stated.

She urged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to the core values of integrity, professionalism, and service to the nation.
According to her, “Elevation comes with greater responsibility and expectations, which must be diligently fulfilled.”
Highlighting the statistics of the exercise, the Comptroller announced that a total of sixteen officers had earned elevation to various senior ranks.

“I pray that this new rank will propel you to greater heights in your career, bringing pride to the Command and to the Service at large,” the Customs Area Controller said.
She further reminded other officers that more opportunities lie ahead, encouraging them to remain steadfast, dedicated, and hardworking.
