Comptroller Shuaibu Honours Retiring Officers, Bids Farewell to NYSC Members in Kaduna

The Comptroller Federal Operations Unit (FOU) B, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu, hosted a farewell ceremony on Thursday 10 October 2024, to honour two Assistant Comptrollers who retired from active service and to bid farewell to the 2023 Batch C National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who recently concluded their service at the unit.
The event which took place at Kangiwa House, the Headquarters of the FOU Zone B, signified the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the retired Assistant Comptrollers as well as the start of a new journey for the outgoing Corps Members in their respective careers.
The retiring Assistant Comptrollers, AC Suraj Umar Faruk who served as the Acting Deputy Comptroller Enforcement and AC Dan-Alfa Lawal Ibrahim who was the Acting Deputy Comptroller, were recognised for their significant contributions to the FOU Zone B during their tenure. In his remarks, Comptroller Shuaibu emphasised the importance of diligence, hard work, and integrity in the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) while encouraging officers to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions and dedication of the retired ACs.
The Comptroller also used the occasion to advise the departing NYSC members to imbibe professionalism in their chosen careers and to be good ambassadors of their families and the NCS. He further encouraged them to maintain the relationships they had formed during their service.
During the ceremony, the Corps Members presented an artwork as a gift to the Comptroller, and he, in turn, presented plaques and certificates to the retired senior officers and the NYSC members.
The ceremony was attended by the Customs Area Controller of the Kaduna Area Command, Comptroller Ahmed Tijjani Abe as well as other senior officers, family, friends, and well-wishers.
