Honey Badgers Wonderkid Atume Doosur Beams

Honey Badgers young forward Atume Doosur has noted that she is always happy whenever she helps her team win games or help them from getting defeated.

The young forward remarkable scoring form continued on Thursday as her fantastic volley gave the Badgers a point against a more experienced side, Royal Queens in the first match of week five of the ongoing Flying Officers Cup.

Doosur scored from a wonderful free-kick on Matchday three against the Ghana Police Ladies to earn her side a point and also did the same against Royal Queens to keep her team in contention.

“I am always happy whenever I get the opportunity to help my team’. Doosur said.

‘It is always a great opportunity for me and we all take the glory as a team because we all worked for it.

‘We are a very young team with a lot of big dreams and we would keep supporting ourselves both on and off the pitch.

“We need to show what we can do at the Flying Officers Cup and am glad that we have gone unbeaten in our last two games.

Honey Badgers will face Naija Ratels in their last game of the group stages on Friday at the Area 10 Sports Complex, Abuja.

AFCON 2022 CAF Launches Official Match-Ball for 2021 AFCON

Ahead of the 2021 African cup of nations, African soccer governing has launched official match ball for the competition.

The ball which was produced by umbro was made with thick white and styled with color green, named toghu.

According to the video made available by the football, body described toghu as traditional, ornate, glory, heritage, and unity.

The world bank said, “however, the reform momentum weakened in 2021, and in the absence of continued progress, key macroeconomic challenges have re-emerged as major threats to growth.

The Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network team started on a positive note by defeating TVC at the FCT SWAN 5 Aside during the Annual Sporting Competition organized by Sports Writers Association of Nigeria.

Falconets to Resume Camping for Congo Fixture

ad Coach Christopher Danjuma has invited 31 players to the camp of Nigeria’s U20 girls, Falconets for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup third round fixture against Congo, with the first leg taking place in Brazzaville on 5th December. Nigeria will host the return leg at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos on Thursday, 16th December.

On the list are four goalkeepers, nine defenders, 10 midfielders and eight forwards.

The Falconets blitzed past their counterparts from Central African Republic 11-0 on aggregate in the second round, while the Congolese saw off Egypt’s U20 girls 3-1 on aggregate. The girls from Central African Republic progressed to the second round following the withdrawal of Equatorial Guinea.

All 31 players have been asked to report at the Serob Hotel in the Wuye district of Abuja on Sunday, 7th November with their training kits, international e-passports and certificates of birth. However, four players of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt that is taking part in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League holding in Egypt 5th – 19th November, have been excused to report in camp after their engagement in North Africa. Two overseas–based players are also expected in camp towards the end of the month.
