Lil Wayne Faces 10 Years’ Imprisonment as he Pleads Guilty to Gun Charges

Lil Wayne may face 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a Federal gun charge.

The African-American rapper was charged with possession of firearm and ammunition in December 2019 while on a private plane searched by federal agents in Miami.

According to sky news, the 38 year-old admitted to possessing the 45 caliber gun and six rounds of ammunition as he entered his plea before U.S district Judge Kathleen Williams, during a remote hearing.

The Rapper has a previous weapons conviction, from more than a decade ago. This means he could face up to 10 years behind bars, as it is illegal for convicted felons to possess firearms.

He is free on a 250,000 dollars bail and has reportedly surrendered his passport to authorities. Meanwhile, a sentence hearing is set for January 28, 2021.

Russell Westbrook Breaks Oscar Robertson’s Record of Most Career Triple-Doubles

Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook broke Oscar Robertson’s NBA record for the most career triple-doubles in his side’s defeat by the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

Westbrook reached double digits in rebounds, points and assists for the 182nd time in his career.

The 32-year-old finished the night with 28 points, 13 rebounds and 21 assists.

However, Westbrook missed a possible game-winning buzzer-beater as the Wizards lost 125-124.

Fresh from being evicted from the ongoing music reality show, Nigerian Idols, fast-rising music star, Christian Joshua Daberechi, popular as Jojobaby has said he would build on the experience garnered at the show to take his music career to the level that would excite many music lovers.

With a budding music career, Jojobaby while speaking about the dimension he intends to take his career to, he described his exit from the show as a blessing in disguise, saying that he has picked up his craft from where he left off.

Jojobaby was welcomed with a new recording deal by Dream Music Group and a single, entitled ‘Depth’, which according to him was a step in the right direction and a move that would put an end to his struggling days as a music artiste. Recalling how his music journey started, the Imo State-born singer revealed that he started singing in the choir and said he was inspired by football star, Christian Ronaldo, whom he described as his role model while he picked American music star, Chris Brown as his mentor in music.
Speaking about his new single and how his exit from the Idols inspired it, the singer said he kicked off his career before he joined the Idols but was happy to have added the experience to his craft.
